2025 Mid-Hudson Area Extras
See below many more photos from our adventures in Coxsackie, NY, including the pedestrian bridge over the Hudson, pick your own (produce) adventure, hiking, etc. Some notes:
-
On the way to the Coxsackie area, we stopped one night in Asbury Park, NJ. We were hoping for strolling on the boardwalk/enjoying the beach. Instead, we got a crazy storm. But, as usual, we found a way to make it work.
-
Olana State Historic Site - A beautiful park on a hill with miles of hiking trails, extraordinary views of the Hudson River. Designed by Frederic Church, an American landscape painter who was influential in that movement.
-
One of the “sights” we wanted to see was a pedestrian bridge you could use to cross the Hudson River. The bridge was a little far from our home base, so we decided we had to find a fun place to lunch on the way - enter Dubois Farms, voted best pick-your-own farm in the Hudson Valley. They also offered a fun lunch, which we enjoyed prior to picking some fruit and continuing on to the pedestrian bridge.
